330-430 Pitching Part 2 REGISTER prerequisite*: Pitching Part 1

Pitching: PLAYERS MUST BRING AN ADULT TO CATCH THEIR PITCHES ...all players pitch at the same time

*Please do not sign up for Part 2 of either program without having taken Part 1. The second set of classes is a continuation of Part 1. Also, the teaching terminology is based on Part 1. Players jumping into Part 2 without having gone through Part 1 would struggle to follow along and likely get frustrated. We want to be sure all participants have a great experience.

Part 1 and Part 2 are not ‘beginner’ and ‘advanced’. These are one continues series of classes, structured using a step by step, building block approach. The mechanics of the pitching delivery and batting swing are the same if a player is 7 years old or 27. These skills are not real complex, but putting the fundamental pieces together in the correct order is very important, as is understanding how to continue to work on their development after completing a program.

Advanced Instruction
Q: What is ‘Advanced’ regarding these skills? A: the strategy and approach based on the game situation is where pitching and batting become complex.

At the youth level, where the primary objectives are to get the ball consistently over the plate and consistently make solid contact, it is the development of mechanics that is the priority. These classes give the kids everything they need, and are entirely compatible regardless of age, experience or ability.

What a great resource. Excellent help - particularly for guys that have been coaching for a while to learn the right way!

- Todd, Coach

I heard multiple kids give raving reviews! …one of the kids parents later said quote, ‘your bat speed has improved by 20 percent’ …the Dad said it was clearly noticeable!

-Quinn, Coach

Hour for hour that was easily the most instructive time my son has had in his baseball life. You made pitching so simple, but it was all there.

– Harlan, Coach and former Little League President

GENERAL INFO

These are Adult-Child programs. Coach Mark (former player in the Cubs organization; former NCAA Div-I Head Coach) demystifies these skills for players and adults/coaches. These skills are, in fact, quite elementary. The instruction is easy for players to grasp and follow. They get all the information they need to succeed at the youth level of play, while overly detailed information is weeded out.

Coach/Parent learns 'How to Teach' pitching/batting to kids using simple and clear instruction making it and easy for the players to digest and translate to their play. These are very active programs; players get a massive number of repetitions, the most important aspect of skill development.

Program notes are provided prior to and following each workout. Players are given direction for working out at home between each session, so to maximize their learning. The home workouts are short in duration and designed with the attention span of a kid in mind.

At the end of the program each participant receives a comprehensive guide for continuing their development after completing the class. The guide includes all content taught in the class; includes video and pictures to support all instruction. Adults gain knowledge and hands on experience to take the teaching to their teams and other kids in their league come spring time

A third session, 430-530pm, will be added to the January Schedule. This could be pitching or batting. Whichever has the greatest demand will be added. If one of the classes fills, get on the waiting list. This will influence our determination of demand.
