Note: All volunteers are required to go through a background check.
To Register as a Volunteer:
Volunteer registration is now completed during registration of your player. There are many roles to fill besides that of coach, so please indicate if any are of interest during registration. If you do not have a player to register and are interested to volunteer, the process is the same, but you do not select a player to register. Volunteer options are available for registration from your "My Account" homepage: Click on MY ACCOUNT --> VOLUNTEER --> FIND VOLUNTEER ROLES
NWSLL’s work is made possible by a committed group of volunteers. There are plenty of opportunities for everyone, regardless of baseball experience. Please contact League President Tracy Lemke ([email protected]) if you are interested in coaching, being an umpire, helping out at the Fan Fest or League Picnic, or joining the board.

COACHING/ ASSISTANT COACHING / MANAGEMENT
Coaches are needed at all levels so please consider volunteering!
Coaching Little League baseball can be one of the most rewarding things you ever do with your child, ask any parent who has done it.
You do not need to be a baseball expert. To help every coach excel and make it a successful season, NWSLL provides free Coach Training clinics to give you the tools to give your players the skills needed to have a fun and rewarding season.
Each team has a manager (head coach) and at least one assistant coach. All managers are required to attend at least one coaching clinic, and all coaches are encouraged to do the same. Once the basic skills (movements and reps) and practice structure and planning are learned, things get very fun, very fast (once the kids are moving and improving at each practice.)
For the older leagues, experience and training are more critical and the league takes an active role in evaluating and selecting these coaches so our players have the best coaching we can provide.
If you are interested in a coaching or management position, please contact Tracy Lemke [email protected] and he will put you in touch with a division coordinator.
UMPIRING
Behind-plate and field umpiring at all levels
Must attend training sessions
Umpiring is a great way to enjoy the sport of baseball or softball, especially if you don’t have time for coaching. Training is offered at the district and league levels. We can even place an experienced umpire with you to get you started.
Our website allows umpires to sign up for the games they want and our league furnishes each team with gear. Umpires can get personal gear if they become regulars.
If you are interested in volunteering to serve as a NWSLL umpire, please contact League President Tracy Lemke ([email protected]) and let him know you’re interested.
